Oats Royd Mill - Property in Yorkshire

Over the past year, a lot of work has been put into the Oats Royd Mill development, to convert the old mill into luxury apartments. The mill, dating from the mid 1800’s, was built by a Victorian textiles magnate by the name of John Murgatroyd. It was common back then to have water-powered mills, but the magnate wanted to use steam instead, so Oats Royd Mill was one of the few factories that used steam-power for manufacturing.

The result looks great, with excellent finishes: gorgeous bathrooms featuring chrome plated taps and furniture as well as high quality sanitary ware, good-size bedrooms and contemporary kitchens with granite work tops.

The other benefit is that the development is in the countryside with views over the Calder Valley, near the picturesque village of Luddenden, but with easy and quick access to Halifax, so the Oats Royd Mill apartments really have the best of both worlds!

Buyers of these apartments in Yorkshire can choose between one or two bedrooms and each unit has an open-plan design that maximises space and natural light.
